DonutSMP Shards Guide
Shards are a special currency on DonutSMP used exclusively for purchasing items from the shard shop. Shards cannot be traded between players and can be obtained by purchasing them from the official store or passively earning them in-game.
Earning Free Shards
Players passively earn 1 free shard every 10 minutes simply by being online. This means that even without spending money, players who stay connected can gradually accumulate shards over time. A player who is online 24 hours a day would earn up to 144 shards per day passively.

Shard Shop
The shard shop sells a variety of tools, armor, weapons, and consumables.
Strategy & Economics
Shards maintain relatively stable value since the primary way to obtain large quantities is through purchase, while money experiences high inflation. The passive free shard rate of 1 per 10 minutes is slow enough that it does not significantly impact shard value. This makes shards a reliable store of value for purchasing powerful gear. Optimal usage involves saving shards for high-value items that provide significant gameplay advantages.

Shards cannot be directly traded between players as they function as a virtual balance. Items purchased with shards can be traded normally.
